started out slow on the run but sped up a lot. I ran with coach crick and we averaged like 7:40 but we ran a few miles at like 6:40 plus there was some killer hills! Not as long as I was hoping but whatever. Race on Wednesday and I'm pumped

Rainy all day so it was decent conditions. I warmed up then got pumped with the bro. I had to get out pretty quick at the start since it narrows fast. Went through the 1st mile in 5:26 feeling alright then I backed off some. I stayed in chase group #2 and ran with these 2 south Eugene guys, they pulled me along practically the whole race and it felt pretty good. I pushed and had a good kick and I even caught barret from grants pass! I crossed and I was pumped to have a pretty good time for the start of the season!  Our team is looking really good! We had for under 17:20 which was good. Hopefully we can get to 16:40. Afterwards I cooled down by running the whole course again at like 7min pace, then stretched with the bros

felt super sick all day and I wasn't sure if I was going to do the workout but I just decided to go for it. I had to do it on my own since I'm going camping and have to leave at 530. I went out to the track 7th period and started out with 1.5mi warmup and then strides to get the legs moving. Since I was sick I decided to do the 8x800 workout based on effort so I wouldn't kill myself going for certain times. I gave myself 1:50 rest in between each rep and just went for it. I started the workout and just felt sucky. I gutted out the first few in around 2:49 then decided that YOLO. I hurt so friken bad the next few but I got faster each time. I finished with only 7 @2:47 average but it hurt like none other. Srsly one of the hardest workouts I've ever done. I threw up afterwards like a boss then went for the cool down which sucked since I'm sick. Finished up with 7.1mi total but it was the hardest 7.1 in a long time.
