9mi at 7:40 something in the heat with allan. legs felt heavy and the hills sucked

warmup over to fichtner park then changed into spikes and did 6x1000 on the grass. The grass was kinda long and it was mushy in some spots so it took a lot out of me. I averaged 3:26-27 for each with like 3:30 active rest. Felt pretty good but I kept getting dropped by Enoch Joel and Alex on the home stretch of the loop. Afterwards I went to go change back into my trainers where I had put them near a tree but they weren't there.. I asked around but nobody had seen them.. I'm pretty sure a homeless guys stole them so screw my life! Time for a new pair of shoes

1.5mi warmup then some strides to get the legs going. 2.5mi tempo at 5:50/mi. Felt really good. 5min rest to switch into spikes and jog then 4x600 and I hit 1:55, 1:55, 1:55, 1:54. Felt pretty good, I needed the speed work. Cooled down to 7 after, great workout overall.

not a very good race. the course is really hard cuz it's all on this one big hill and you do 3 loops going up and down. We warmed up then did strides and started the race. It felt hard from the beginning, I was feeling it on even the 1st uphills and I didn't even go out hard. Hit the mile in 5:25 and I just tried to stay with Enoch. I felt like crap and my legs just felt super tired. Finished just past 17:30 and I was glad it was over, super hard race. I think this week really did a toll on my body, I'm going to ease down the mileage up until districts from here. Tough race but I'm looking forward to my two races this week! Also hoco was rad
