so we went up to Eugene and did the northwest classic on the state course. It was hot and not the best weather. Anyways I went out pretty fast and hit the mile in 5:23 feeling really good. I picked it up for the next half mile until we hit the hill, that took it out of me. After that, I slowly died off a little and couldn't keep that sub-17 pace. I got 3rd on our team but I was pretty disappointed... I need to do some more speed work so I can have a stronger 2nd half of the race for now on.
